joined up a lil while ago.. I'm primarily a BP guy, so I'll post my introduction here.

Called Metalshaper by some, Dagwood by others.. Last name is Bumstead, so go figure on the second one :D
Hobby machinist/gun builder. My main interest is in Mule ear guns and lately underhammers..

I offer these pics for your consideration:

Can't say I've ever seen anything nicer. In that under-hammer especially. I see you pay allot of attention to detail Metalshaper. Beautifully done weapons. All of them. Well, except that mortar. Somehow is hard to pretty one of those things up. Being they get used the most that is. (Just kidding) Welcome to this Thread and C/Bs both.

Guys,

Thanks for the Welcome and nice compliments on my work. I appreciate any and all feedback and try not to have too much ego about it.
I know I'm self taught, building guns and doing my hobby machine work, so I know there is always room to learn and improve!

Thanks again:)

Beautiful work!

I especially favor the blue detailing being carried over to the thimble 8-)

Wolff,

Yep, I tried to carry the fire bluing forward into the ramrod pipes! Also tried to turn and braze in the brass banding as well.
The middle pipe turned out OK, but I think the forward one took a lil too much heat? it is a lot lighter blue and also has some
greying to the metal. I could fix it I guess?? just comes to a point sometimes, you just have to be done!

Again, My Thanks to you guys for the compliments.. Given me the inspiration to get my **** back into the shop and
work on that Muley and the longrifle I've had hanging around for some time now!

Respect Always
