Hello Everyone,

New guy from Colorado just wanting to say hi. I've been shooting for years but have recently developed an affection for big bore revolvers and lever guns which soon led me to this sight. Maybe in a few years even take an Elk with my 45/70. I hope to learn a lot and start casting before to long.

Welcome aboard . I like the big bores myself. 458 WM, 450 Marlin. I finally found some cast boolits that shoot well in them. Took a deer this year with a CB in the 450. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you succeed.

Hey JD welcome, I myself am experimenting with the 45/70 and lead. This is the right place to learn for sure.

Welcom! 45-70 is one of my favorite ctgs. Very reloader friendly! Lots of good data for it on this forum!

JD,
You are not that far from Denver. I feed three 45-70s. If you would like to try casting and loading for yours let me know and I am sure we could work out a time you could come down and get some hands on time.
