Does anyone have more information on the 375376? It is in the Lyman Handbook of Cast Bullets, 1958, but disappears by 1973.

I did lurk on a 375376 on fleabay, but could not pin it down. But today I looked in the 1958 Lyman Handbook of Cast Bullets (on page 148). Hmm, "375376 - Front bands cast .374, two rear bands cast .381 diameter." Page 85, Top punch 376, seating screw 376 (Lyman 310 and similar)

Look at page 147 at the "37580 -Report this bullet is very accurate. It was designed by a sea captain, and has been used successfully for shooting fish." Listed as a 250 grain boolit... OK, I would wager that the "sea captain" was using a 38-55, since that bullet looks to be in the 250 or so grain class.... It might cast a bit different than the write-up. Still, it should be interesting...

I looked in an Ideal 1897 handbook (copy from Cast Pics) and it wasn't listed. All moulds had either a four digit or five digit code. That boolit must have come out after the switch to six digit codes. (duh!)

Any help? Waiting for ASSRA to come back up, it won't respond (oddly, after I just got approved for password and ID...)

12 Dec - no hits on ASSRA for 375376.

Interesting.......Being a huge fan of the 38-55, I'm also waiting on your replies.
