I just cast up a bunch of Lee 120gr TC boolits for my 5946 9mm. I slugged the barrel and using a caliper to measure the slug and got .354... Measured the bullets and got .357 on most of them, Now I need to get a die and not sure what size would be best, I have read the threads here in the past but for some reason cant locate them now. Im thinkin .357 would be the right die????? Thanks ,Tommy

That's what I did. I own four 9mm's, and I use .357 in all. One has a bore that measures .354", and it shoots fine with .357" boolits.

Mongo, my Lee molds, the 125 2R and the 120 TC, both measure over .358 as cast. I size to .358 as my guns like that. I bought a .357 die for the Lyman 450 last year thinking I needed to try smaller in a newer 9mm. Bad mistake, keyholes at close range. If you want it we can work out a trade of some sort. Frank

I had not purchased a die yet. But if the Lee mold drops the bullets at .357 Im guessing that I would have to purchase a die of .357 or smaller. Tom

Mongo if the mold drops boolits at .357 why size them at all?

Hi Marty, Not so much as sizing them but to lube then in the 450.. I started sizing and lubing my .44 240's in the 450 and got much less leading than I got with tumble lubing..

Tom, I have a near new, only used to size maybe 500 boolits, Lyman .357 die that I guarantee will collect dust. I'm not looking to sell it, just find it a good home through a trade of some sort. Frank
