I bought a 336 Marlin in .35 Rem. a while back knowing it had a jamming issue. Well, the time has come to try to fix it. I've searched the web and it seems that this particular Marlin has what is called, "The Marlin Jam". While cycling, it will chamber one round while another round hangs up on the carrier. Has anyone had this happen? What can be done to correct it?

IN addition, Marauder's site has the cure:

I followed the instructions on the marauder site listed in previous post. Fixed the problem in my 32-20 for good. I really liked to gun enforce but the jams drove me nuts. Now it is even more fun to shoot!

I used a small bit of a thin saw blade soldered to the bottom of the carrier. Doesn't look the best when carrier is out of the gun but when assembled it isn't visible at all.
