I dont quite understand what "T" powder is. Tracers are loaded with the same powder as Ball ammo is , for example , the 30/06 ball or tracer round both use 50 gr. IMR 4895.

Actually, there is something to it. I have read in different places that one should stay with WC844, instead of the tracer powder WC846, for example. Has to do with calcium carbonate IIRC.

Some of the stuff I read said the 844 and 844T are the exact same thing. The only difference is the round the powder was recovered from. One came from ball ammo the other from tracer ammo. Same stuff.

Tracers apparently need hotter flame temp to ignite. My guess would be slight increase
in bore wear, probably worst in the throat like all guns.

I bought a bunch of 844T, seems to work the same as 844 for me, but I assume hotter
temps.
