I cast this with WW +2% tin and plan on starting out with 18 gn Win 296 and CCI large magnum primers. Plan on lubing with Liquid alox and cake cutting them out.55161 Any recommendations or suggestions. I water quenched some and air cooled the rest. I will be shooting them out of a .44 Rem Mag Handi-rifle.

I have shot that bullet with 20 grains of WW296/H110 out of all my 44 mags with good results. I use pan lube recipe. Not sure if that matters.

I have good luck using 21 grains of H110 in my Ruger Super Blackhawk with this bullet. Have been up to 22 grains, but backed it down a bit. I don't shoot this bullet in my Smiths.

This boolit loaded over 19 grs 296 is my standard carry load for bear in Alaska (Ruger RH Hunter). It shoots accurately and hits hard. However, the same load does not not shoot very well in my Handi Rifle. I suspect the slow 38" twist is part of the problem; the boolit is too heavy to stabilize at this twist rate. I got lots of keyholing at 50 yards.

I shoot 15.5 of 2400 with that bullet out of a 7.5 Redhawk.

How are you going to cake cut them out of Liquid Alox?

21 grains of H110 seated at the lower crimp groove does well in my Super Redhawk.
Mine are lubed with Carnuba Red.

I use 21.5 gr of 296 but I use a standard primer.
It has done 3/4" to an occasional 1/2" at 50 yards.

For my redhawk
21gr of H110
CCI Large Pistol Magnum
Carnuba Red
Heavy roll crimp at the bottom crimp groove.

For my Rossi Lever
18 gr top crimp groove

I use Unique for plinking loads.

So how did it go for you?

I love the boolit. I shot my last deer with it because I ran out of my boolits. He was moving fast at 50 yards, barely time to turn the Ultra Dot on and swing the SBH. He went 30 yards blowing blood all over. I opened him to find a tub of blood.
It is not only accurate, it just plain works.
I use water dropped WW metal for it.
I have many calibers I hunt with but the .44 has to be the best ever. Easy to hit with because of the low recoil, deadly accurate and it never fails.
The 310 was designed by a few of our members here and my hat is always off to them for getting it right.
