Sorting the barrels of WW and the 3 - 5 gallon buckets of used WW I came acrost a few that were new to me

Here are some pic's , sorry some are blurry

First these are lead stick on ,curved and thicker on 1 end
Designed to be broken in the middle

I also ran into some WW that apear to be made of a plastic
Hard , but when cut in 1/2
No metal is to be found

I also found 2 types of unlabled stick on WW that are hard
Not magnetic , apear to be Zink
Painted gray
Thought I took a pic , but didn't

I had a few in my last bucket full that were odd balls. I put a propane torch to them till they glowed cherry red along with the steel clip. No idea what they are.

I just finished smelting down 200lbs of wheel weights that I accumulated this week . ..seems like most of the stick-ons now are covered with some sort of shiny plating and aren't lead. (they float and don't melt). The number of zinc "clip-ons" seems to be fairly consistent . .I'd say 1% or so.

I had one bucket of weights that a guy gave me that I was pretty pissed about as I bet there were 400 valve stems, 200 cigarette butts and other assorted crap in the 3 1/2 gallons of WW's. Then next bucket I was tickled pink to find 15-20 10 ouncers . ..gotta love those. :) I guess it all evens out.

Have a good one,
Dave

Hey guys, I get the odd balls in the bucket too. All the zinc ones I've seen have "ZN" on them and they get trashed. Plenty of stick-ons and even some with the Honda emblem and BMW emblem.
