May the Lord himself oversee your surgery. May He guide the hands and minds of the surgeons and dictate a positive outcome. God be with you.

Prayers are with you friend. I had 5 bypass surgery over 6 yrs. ago, no heart attack, they caught the blockages after a routine stress test and cath. It is scary and its a tough recovery but after 6 wks I was ok to return part time to work. Back to everything now that I enjoyed before surgery. Hang in there!

I just ran across this and it is 7:00 PM here. This means you have had the surgery and my prayer is that everything went perfectly with the great physician in control and that He will continue to control your healing process such that you will heal quickly and perfectly from this surgery.

With all our prayers from the group here, you will be fine. I had the same surgery 2 years ago, and have had a complete recovery. You can have the same result! Listen to your cardiologist and your dietitian, do what they tell you and Exercise, Exercise, Exercise! If you maintain a good diet and exercise regimen you will be back to normal in 4-5 weeks. As my doctor says "It is all about the fork and the feet." Slow down the first and speed up the second. God Bless and Best wishes!

Tim,

On September 5, I had five bypasses. So here it is 3 months later, and my recovery is going very very well. Do what your care staff tells you to and you will be fine.

While it is a scary time, this is a very common surgery these days. You are in my prayers.

Hi,
they arent doing the zippers (staples) anymore. I was cauterized and glued back together. Healing real well now. Some sections of incesion look to be a month along. I was worried about shooting again. I havent found that I cant yet.

Good to hear Timbuck. I had a triple back in 2005. They did the superglue thing on me. But hognose rings holding my sternum together. LOL Just be careful and do what your doc says for a while. But you will have to go lighter loads for a bit once you get back on your feet good and back to the range. Just don't try to push too fast, and you will be back in stride in no time.

Best wishes to you.

I had a quad 6 years ago and the surgeon told me after 12 weeks I could shoot anything I wanted.
I know they do it every day but I thought it was still pretty rough the first week or two. After that every day was better than the last. Hang in there!

If my Dr. had told me I could shoot anything I wanted after 12 weeks, there would be some people in trouble around here!!!! LOL It would be a great defense: "But Judge, the Dr. said I could!!" :)
