My latest "brilliant idea" is to have a Ruger No. 1 chambered for .360 Nitro Express No.2 -- a grand old Eley number dating to 1905, and taking a 9,3 mm boolit. The original specs were for a 320-grain slug at 2200 fps and at just under 33,000 pounds of pressure. I'm not seeing much in the way of molds in this size and weight, so sketched something up with a nice flat meplat on the Mountain Molds site. Anyone monkeying with heavies in .366-.368?

a 9.3 mold sounds bout right.
they might even chamber the number one in a 9.3x62 allready.
or a 35 whelen would be "bout the same" but easier to find brass for..

Runfive, Ruger did chamber the No. 1 in 9,3X74, but the .360 NE No. 2 has sooooo much more panache, if you know what I mean ...
