I must be the only one who seems to care where people on this site are located. I don't mean "actually" located, but maybe the state or geographical portion of the world. It would be nice to know when others are near you for sales, help, or info. I'm in Socal and don't care who knows it. I know there are many in this area also. If you are that paranoid about people finding you or keeping lists, then just lurk and don't join. Hell, we have all the guns! Not a rag on anyone just my .02, Rod

Floyd, VA. From the stoplight, take 221 north to the post office and turn left on Christiansburg Pike. Go 2.7 miles and turn right on Moore Road. When you cross the river, pull over where the old logging road comes out just past the bridge and call me. I'll come down and show you the way to the house 'cause you'll never find it.

How's that for knowin' where I am?

hmmm,
I must be in Glencoe, Minnesota according to my profile and user ID.

Glencoe is right at the edge of the great Plains, that stretch all the way down to Texas.
Honest !!!!
If I travel south about 10 miles the farms fields are large and flat and you can see in all directions for miles. If you go about 20 miles North, The lake country and the Hills & hardwood forests start, yes there are still many large fields, but they were woods that were grubbed out,,,not just prairie grasses tilled over. The area between Glencoe and Minneapolis was known at "The Great Woods" when first settled in the late 50s (that'd be the 1850's).

OK guys, some of you still don't have your location in your profile.I think that's what the OP was after.

Now why in the world would we overlook this golden opportunity to display the "smart-aleck" lurking in all of us!! Ha-ha!

Mine shows WA State, but I live out in Kitsap County, just a short ferry ride from downtown Seattle near the "very large beacon that attracts libtards and stupidity from a 5-state area that is the space needle".

I get the pleasure of taking that ferry TO work every day, but even more pleasure when I LEAVE work and leave the city behind to go back to my house in a somewhat rural area. The stress just kind of "melts away" as I see that same space needle get further from me on the boat ride home......

Oshkosh wi. my home town, was born in Neenah, about 10 miles north of here. I'm about 400 yards from famous lake WINNEBAGO. It's actually an impoundment formed by damming the fox river at Neehah and Menasha. Lakes Poygan, Wineconne, and big lake Butte Des Morts are all linked to Winnebago.

I bet some have never filled out their profile, hence no location given. The rest just flat out don't care, or are hiding.

LOL. "THE" stop light. I understand, I've been to Soda. I used to shoot USPSA with a cop from over there.
Where I grew up (a 1600 acre shooting range that my idiot folks referred to as a ranch) if a car we didn't recognize pulled down the lane, it meant someone was lost. Again. We were so far out in the sticks we could only be found accidentally. When I was in college and would refer to myself as a hillbilly, my friends would scoff. Then I'd take one of them home with me on the weekend and they'd come back and tell the others to just let it go. He really is a hillbilly.
I'm easier to find these days.

It's called Snowflake Arizona and yes it does snow here (5600 ft in elevation). A lot of people think Arizona is all desert but in actuallity Arizona has the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world, at least we did have until all the forest fires we've had in the last 10 years, some of them set by the forest service and the rest of them set by idiots.

I'm on 17 Mile Drive....but on the Spanish Bay side (as opposed to the Stillwater Cove side- where all the 'notables' live). Because there's no natural predation or hunting, the deer are a sorry lot. They're tiny and unhealthy- nothing or no one to cull the heard. They are fearless though- a buddy of mine hit a line-drive tee shot straight into one- hardly flinched and certainly didn't act as if there was something amiss......we really could use a bow season but the locals would go bat-poop crazy.

Well,, lets see. I'm 25 miles nearly due west of the I-5 120 miles north of California and 175 miles south of the Washington border up in the coast range near (within 5 miles) of some other folks who live out here in our valley. I'm located north of the road at the end of a 3/4 mile gravel driveway that snakes up the mountain rising to nearly 2000' ASL when it reaches my place which is in the middle of my quarter/quarter section (40 acres). My shop is down on the next plateau and my firing range is behind my shop. One day I'll fire up the cat and extend my range from 75 yards to 100 or so.

Flagstaff AZ. 7000 feet elevation and we get plenty of snow. Great little town with just enough to keep me out of trouble. Plenty of places to go out plinking and long range 1000 yard shooting. The prairie dogs are well populated as well.

On a side note. I share the OP's frustration with people not filling out their profile with their location. City and state info is pretty helpful when it comes to offering help to someone. Sometimes an in person assistance can make all the difference in the world.
