Nothing really new here, but I liked the kudos from JD. He is, in my opinion, the most knowledgeable handgun hunter alive, have killed more head of game with handguns (firing a tremendous variety of cartridges and projectiles) than any person on the planet.

Yes, that was good.
I have fired the big S&W and the BFR and like all the big bores they are amazingly accurate.
How so much recoil can print such small groups is crazy! [smilie=s:

Yes good write up. John I had no idea you were in such distinguished company. I agree that J. D. Jones has done much to advance handgunning. He has developed some great cartridges too. Sounds like the 5" 500 that you have is a dandy. I have a 4" and don't like the muzzle brake system. I wish mine had a regular barrel on it.

Hi John, Long time, no see posts !! Good to see you back ! Lovin the 5" JR 500 I got from you !! That cannon is a hoot !!

Saw that article - "I know that guy !!, I have that gun !!!" sweet !

Smoked turkey, look for "freedom475" he had some blank (no holes) comps made. I got one for the 4" I had before I got the JR 5" - MUCH better on noise, no real change in recoil.

Yes, a Big +1 on the NO Holes Insert.
it made my 4" 500 fun to shoot,
I was ready to sell it...The Comp. just gave me too much concussion.

I like to use the NOE 502-550 RNFP PB boolit

Known JD since I was 16. Here's a pic taken on the weekend I met him. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=137042089683469&set=t.100001330354039&type=3&theater
