Hi all...Not to sound mathematically challenged....BUT...how would one go about mixing up a batch of ole Elmer Keith's 1 to 16 lead alloy..??? How much lead..??? How much tin..??? What per cent of what..??? In deference to Mr. Keith, I will use known pure certified metals....I want to try to duplicate his results....What say ye learned gentlemen..???
Thanks to all who have helped in the past.....
Pete

If im not mistaken it would be 16 pounds of lead to 1 pound of tin. I think that comes out to 6.25% of tin.

Yes, it's 1 part tin and 16 parts lead - which give a total of 17 parts so it's 5.9% tin and 94.1% lead.
