Instead of making a new thread how about just making one added post to this one. Short simple and all in one place.
I'd say List Name first then short desc.
if not oh well.... just an idea.

Better than described, very fast shipping and well packaged. The PO tried hard to destroy this mold, but madcaster beat them.

How about a quick reference table that anyone can edit / add to: something like this:
Good Guy........Not so...........By..............Note................. .........................................
Joeblow................................Metoo...... ..Prompt, did exactly as he promised.
.......................Hootatoot......Teatime..... Disappeared. Does not respond. Ripoff.

What a great guy to do business with. I realized just the other day that I have done 2 deals with him. I got my first melting furnace from him a couple of years ago from another reloading site and then got my Lyman sizer from him. Both items arrived in excellent shape!

You know fellows, the kudo's are nice, but this list might not be filling the need: I got an e-mail this morning from a guy who will be giving me my certification as a CCW handgun trainer. In it, he commented that the vast majority of shooters are dead honest and square dealers.
That led me to remember an article (years ago) of a sporting goods mail order house who astounded their auditors because of an unusual practice: When an order came in, they filled and shipped it. It didn't matter that no S&H was included, or even that no payment at all was received. The auditors asked how much money they lost because of that, and the company had to search their records to find any. Turned out that payment was almost invariably sent by return mail, something like 99.8+% of the time.
The point is, do we really need to know who's trustworthy, or do we need a caution about someone who might be the bad apple in the barrel? I sugest that instead of - or perhaps in addition to - a 'nice guy list', which is what this has turned into, we need a list of nothing but 'problem transactions' where a difficulty has occurred, and can't be resolved between those involved.
What do you think?

Interesting - I assume this sporting goods company is no longer in business?

I don't know. As I said, the article was many years ago, and I don't remember. Frankly, even if I did, I wouldn't post it, because there would be a large number of that small dishonest percentage who would leap at the opportunity to abuse their policy. I won't put anyone in that position, particularly someone who is honest and trusting.

What I will do is "sticky" the deadbeats at the top, make them very obvious to all. that work?

Personally I like to recieve praise for a job/ transaction well done!
too many times all we hear about is the bad.
Plus I think some of the rookies may be interested in who is a straighshooter and who is not.
