Quick range trip today, been working up loads for my Winnie 92 25-20 using the Lyman 257420.
Had the Marlin .17 HMR just to add to the fun.
When winding up for the day I had 3 quick shots from 85 meters at the target with the .17, put it away then 3 quick shots with the Winchester at the same target.
Here is the outcome :holysheep, What do you think?

I've had it happen but it is extremely rare. The only thing that comes to mind is the "range gremlin".

What were your carefuly aim shots like ? Maybe you should stick the the "quick" three shots routine.

Obviously the bullets from the Winchester followed the trails that were torn in the air by the .17 Marlin. Happens all the time. The tricky part is lining up the rifle muzzle with the beginnings of the trails so the bullet engages properly. ;)

The first rifle shot actually cleared the path and the second round of shots just followed the path.

Gravitational vortex generated by a syzygy event that included Jupiter as opposed to a celestial alignment. No doubt a residual but significant burst of X-ray radiation following the October solar flare observance played a role in nullifying the mass and positional velocity of the projectiles.

Looks like you pulled both triggers at the same time on a well regulated euro combination gun.

Wow many thanks for your technical input. I will use this to further analize my findings.

I was under the impression the group outcome may have been caused by somthing simple on the lines of the colateral coheasion of the relevant humidity as a reaction from the rising murcuric conditions in direct result of the season this time of annum triggering the mass influx of aussie bushflies so intent on crawling all over the shooter making ones way down the barrel into the muzzle following the rifling right into the chamber of the loaded cartridge wrapping his six legs around the projectile bracing for launch holding onto that supersonic metal transporter like a world class rodeo bull rider keeping control of the vehicle in hot persuit to go exactly where his mate had just been.

Like walking in snow. Easier following someone else down the same route.

Guess we can blame the large grouping on shooter error. haha
That is awesome that they did that.
