Now that my daughter can legally hunt on state land, I'm seeing up camp to spend some father daughter time. My dad is also joining us, and possibly my grandpa. We may have a 4 generation deer camp this year. My daughter will be gauranteed a shot at something out here. Thursday can't get here soon enough, though she's not joining us until Sat. morning. Don't need her missing school.

This it's her third year trying, never had anything in front of her to shoot at. But it should be different on state land.

The state land we hunt in is, the Gratiot Saginaw state game area. The private land we hunt is where I grew up, Shiawassee county, just west of Owosso in a small town called Ovid. We also have only been seeing them mostly after dark, though once they start chasing the does it should change on the farm land.

We will try our best to get a four gen photo, but grandpa hasn't gotten a deer in years. Bad knees and all, he just wanders out to enjoy nature anymore. We will have a 3 gen at least.

Take him to a petting zoo. 50 cents worth of crackers makes them walk right up to you.

Not really his thing, he's always hunted, but has just not been up to the walking, we have close to a mile walk to our spot in the woods. He prefers to walk a few hundred yards from camp and feels happy if he sees one.
