Rcbs 45-255 Swc

Does anyone know if these will work in Ruger New Vaquero? I am wondering if the overall length if crimped on groove on nominal length brass will exceed cylinder length.

I like the looks of this bullet put before I plunk my monye down I wnated to check. thanks in advance.

I believe it will work, Jeff Quinn has an article on www.gunblast.com using the 265 RCBS which has the same nose to crimp.length as the 255. The 270 SAA also will work in the new vaquero crimped where it is supposed to be crimped.

there is actually two differnt version of this mold one has a shorter nose then the other. I cant remember which way it goes right now though if its the older with the longer nose or not.

I've had the rcbs 255 swc for a long time and it is a great bullet. Casts at about 268 gr from WW's. Fits in my Ruger SA's and Redhawk fine. I've also used it in Colt SAA clones and Win 94.
