I have a chance to buy a Italian 54 cal percussion rifle. I don't really know much about these but it looks fun to try.

It has been sitting a while and not sure about the bore yet. It looks like a 1874 falling block but it is a percussion rifle.

If the bore is okay what would be fair to offer for the peice? I hope I'm not too vague.

Thanks guys.

Is it a Sharps percussion gun repro?

With the mold and sights, I would consider this a geat buy at $400. I was glad that it sold because I was weakening fast:mrgreen:

Thanks for the reply. I didn't get to see the rifle in your link but it's nice to have a reference. It was a table half full of rifles and cap n ball revolvers at an auto restoration shop. He bought it whole sale from one of his customers.

There was this 1863, a tradional ML, sporterised nagant, a couple more long guns. And about 4 cap n ball revolvers one was smaller like a 36 cal. All the BP items are reproductions.
