My neighbor GAL just showed me her 45/70 pistol that her boyfriend has given her.
I told her that just chapped my posterior extremity, as I have been drooling for one for several years. lol

How many gals you guys know that shoot 45/70 pistols. lol

Certainly not many! I would question the sanity of a 45-70 pistol, but I just traded for a 444 barrel for my contender so I would have to question my sanity also!

I guess I'm not sane, then, 'cause I have a .45-70 contender barrel and a BFR revolver in the caliber.

Man, I used to love to shoot big handguns. This danged 'arthur' in my elbows is gettin' worse, so I had to quit doin' that.

That's awright, though. I can still push a 540 grain boolit down the barrel of my Gibbs with the best of 'em! I love breakin' that thing out around those big guys. They fire it one time and go to whinin' about how bad it kicks. I tell 'em to go change their panties!

Been trying to talk a man I know out of his Contender with a 45/70 barrel as he has had it for years and never fired it, no luck so far. He is in his late 40's I am in my middle 70's I still like big bores.

Had one for awhile. Unfortunately, age caught up with me and all the hard recoiling handguns I have shot, so had to send it down the road. It was fun to shoot and people at the range couldn't believe what I was shooting.

I like seeing the female folk at the range. Anybody at the range chit chatting after people are done shooting.

Hers is the bfr, from what I have read recoil is not as sharp as the 44, but I have not shot one.

I have read that the bfr 45/70 is super accurate more than once.

This is my sister with my bfr. I think these were 13grains red dot over 450g cast.http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/th_VIDEO0042.jpg (http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/?action=view&current=VIDEO0042.mp4) She loves shooting all of my big bore and magnums. Although I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to shoot my 10in .44 mag contender again. Back of the trigger guard busted blood vessels in 2 knuckles and bruised the palm of her hand for a week. :D She came over last night and loaded 150 .44 mag rounds for thanksgiving weekend.

Good for her! I love big bores and have the scars to prove it.

The BFR is pleasant to shoot, less recoil then a .44.
A pistol like the TC is something else again. Any woman that can handle the pistol will get my praise!
