Hello, This is a great website and I am learning a lot about casting rifle bullets just reading your posts! This is my situation. I just recently started casting for my Marlin 30/30 rifle. I have a Lee "single" cavity mold (C309-170-F) that I purchased years ago. So far,I have cast some good looking bullets, but the single cavity mold is just too slow. I need to maximize my time casting bullets by making more bullets in the time spent.

Questions:
(1) Does Lee or anyone sell this mold in a 4-6 cavity? If so where can I purchase it?

(2) Is there a similar multi-cavity mold or mold design that will work as well or
better in my Marlin 336 lever action 30/30 rifle?

Go to the Toolbar at the top of each page here at cast Boolits.

Click on "HomePage", and over on the left of HomePage you will find a link to "Members' Articles". Click on that and you'll find a variety of subjects written-up by various members. Mine is called "Speedcasting".

With a two-cavity mould, I find it pretty simple to produce 400 or more bullets per hour. It may take some practice to develop your own style, but many have tried the technique and report good results. As mentioned in that article, I have cast over 150 good bullets from a one-cavity Lee mould in 30 minutes.

And, Welcome! We hope you'll stick around and participate.

I was able to get in on the group buy for the lee six cavity 31141 mold... this has been the most used bullet in the three .30-30's I have.
You can cast a large quantity of bullets quite fast with this set up; maybe you could see if anyone is interested in selling their mold.
