patch a bullet with?
A friend told me that you can use plumertape, maskingtape, and so on.
Is that true?

Wy I ask?
Well, I think that I have to try that, and maby get better accuracy, and less leading in my old 405 wcf.

Please, tell me, how to wrap, how to cut, and can I patch a GC style bullet?

Try Brent Danielsons site, I certainly found it very useful when I was getting back into PP BPCR.

There's also the RCE site which has some useful stuff.

Yes you can effectively PP GG Boolits.

I use rag onion skin but people have used a wide range of papers with success, its about how it behaves when wetted for application and thickness in relation to your final diameter aspirations for your boolit.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook page 114. The article will answer your basic questions. The thrust of the article is to show the possibility of attaining up to 3000fps with cast boolits, for hunting applications. Of course the attainment of that goal will require experimentation on your part. Have fun.

I have been paperpatching for better than 20 years now. Tryed most everything. Now I used greenbar computer paper, cut to give two wraps with NO overlap and lube with LLA. I have pushed 200 gr 30 cal over 2900 in a RUM. Now days the only bare bullet I use is in handguns.
