I have an old Pacific 'Power C' single stage press that I'm considering selling. I can't find one for sale on the net, so have no idea what it's worth.

Anybody got an idea of what it's worth?

i bought a green old c-press that took the screw in shellholders that come with the popular 308-30/06 shell holder #1 airc in it.
gave @-20 dollars for it.
i then passed it and a set of used 30-06 dies i picked up cheap to a newby with some other tools [scale, lube, powder, primers, bullets and load book [plus a known good minimum load] and a demonstration/explanation of how everything worked to get him started.

Unless it is somewhat of a collectable, Runfiverun nailed it. The smile on someones face would be worth more than the monetary value.

I can't tell you what it would worth be in dollars, but I picked up a nice similar press a couple weeks ago. It was a ch press and I was high bidder at 10 bucks plus the buyers premium.

The smile on someones face would be worth more than the monetary value.

And that's the truth!

Not a bad press, not at all, it's just that there are many more features on newer prettier models.

Thanks, guys. If it's not worth much, I'll just throw it in the closet. I might run into somebody that needs one.

I'd check with Pressman. He'd probably know all about it!

I've seen pics of many Pacific presses, but none so far that has that return spring. Maybe Its just me. Perhaps it would have more value as a collectors item than a working press.

That's a redneck jury rig I made up to make the handle return.

I got one of the old green c presses also. I inherited it off my grandfather before he passed away. Wouldn't sell it for the world.

I got an original Pacific C-Press off ebay a couple of years ago. It was made in 1931-3, and I believe it is an example of the very first C-press made and sold. Starting in 1933 the presses had the patent number cast in, but this one does not. I cleaned it up, painted it, and gave it to my son to put on an empty space on his reloading bench, complete with a 30-06 case in the ram and an old -06 die on top. I think I paid about $35 for it, including shipping.

I bought a Pacific very similar to that one for $30.00 at a gun show.
