I'd like to hear from those of you that have had any success with the Lee 309-250-5R, especially in .30-06 and/or .308 Win. Any load data that you'd care to share would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

It is designed to be shot sub-sonic and suppressed in a 300 AAC Blackout. If you wanted to shoot it in 30/06 or .308, you would need to put on a gas check.

Will it stabalise in a 1/10" twist barrel?

I assume you mean 230-5R? I use mine in 300 Blackout only, I use my 245 in 30-06.

Anyone know?

I shoot the NOE 311-247 in my 1:10 twist 30-06 from subsonic to full power 950 to 2100fps seems to work just fine for me.

I will have to look into this Lee mold....didnt know they made such a critter.

I have shot it in my 1/8 300 Whisper and my Savage 30-06 with 1-10 twist.
I have been getting oblong holes in the target even at 1,900 fps ihe 30-06.
The front driving band is only .307" on mine so I am going to lap it out to .310" to match the rear driving band.
Accuracy so far is nothing to write home about but we will see if it improves.

One thing I found out is you have to wait much longer to drop the boolits from this mold as the nose is easily bent.
