Hey guys
Just a question I have modded my Lee 405g plain based .457 mold and lapped it to (one cav @ .458.9 and the other .459.9) the .458 is 419gr-ish and the .459 is 424.5-ish. Since the BOL is the same as the 405gr do I use the same load data that I have (starting grains) or do I continue to search for L.D. for 420-425gr rounds ? Im stuck and want to work up a load soon. Also Im Chrony-less at the moment. So I plan to keep them conservative this just needs to be a plinking load and Deer sized game load.
Thank you so much!

well i use the same load for some 405's i had leftover from a mold i got rid of.
and some 435's from a mold i swapped into when i got a 45/70 finally.
the load is 22-24 grs of 2400 with a dacron filler. [i use 22.5 and about 1.5 grs of dacron]
i have seen some go to 25 without a filler.

I use a load similar to Run.

I use 22.5 with a filler, 24 without. 2400 is a great powder for 45-70 with cast.
