So I have a minor issue. I have three 9mm's I need to slug prior to picking out molds etc but I cannot find anything to use to slug the bores. I do not have my casting equipment yet, do not have any nor can I find any to buy appropriate sized soft lead balls to use for this. How have those that have had this problem solve it?

Thank you

Rich

Go to a local sporting goods store and get yourself some egg shaped sinkers that are just over the bore size. I usually get one about .06 oversize and sand the od down to about .01 over so it is a wider flat area. If left oversize they will start but takes a bit more force than I like, they should shave off any extra as it starts.
Use a BRASS rod,please.
