My sister-in-law sent me these pictures of an elk that a friend of a friend got with his bow. I will try to get more information.

That is a nice bull but I don't care for the style of standing as far back as possible to reach out and hold the bull with one hand. It adds a fasle depth to the photos that are not really needed. I would much prefer to see a Model 94 across the antlers or a tape measure.

I explained that to my wife.... but it still looks pretty awesome!

very nice g-4's with cheaters, and very long g-3's and g-6's.
surprised it isn't split to a 7x7.
but a very,very good typical.
it's in the 400"+ range.
wonder what ranch he was on.

That would be an absolutely marvelous elk to bag with a bow or a rifle for that matter. I've returned empty handed more than with an elk. I really miss the days I was physically able to do that. A lot of great steaks will come off him. Enjoy.

Not a nice elk at all!!!!!!!!! That is simply a great and very likely a once in a life time elk!!!!!!! WOW!

I'd like to just be able to see one like that, as it would be a day to remember!

In the first pic he is not leaning very far forward. His bow and quiver is on the neck. Arrows are probably 26" long. So, I would say great elk.
More than I have harvested.

So far, all I could find out is that he is a surgeon. I'm still working on it for my own curiosity.
