Hi team.
After last year I swore "never again". TAKF day is manic on a good day. Free event so every man and his brother turns out. Anyways, like every good father I caved in and took Kiera and Abby for a fish this morning.
The first pond we go to set up and get told it is for first time kids assisted by an official. No drama. Off to the second pond. Bait up Abby's gear with a worm and float, cast out and set up Kiera likewise. It took about 2 minutes for Abby's float to disappear and she landed this:

The folk on the other side of the pond looked a bit put out with us. :D The ponds are stocked with lil salmon all season just for kids. We do rather well out of it. Kiera dipped out this time but traditionally does rather well. She has caught fish on bait, spinners and streamers. Next time.
