Yeah....approach with caution.

For max, it depends alot on what firearm is used. An aluminum J-Frame will not stand what a Stainless Blackhawk will shoot easily, then there's rifle loads too....

Assuming a very strong firearm, my best guess, and its just that, I'd use a chronograph and work up using 2400 starting at 12 to 13 grains, standard primer, and plot the increased velocity vs increased powder charge, using charge increments of about 0.2 grains. Look for a place where the increase in powder charge gives less than expected or no increase in velocity. Keeping an eye out for overpressure. You might get all the way up to a full case of 2400.

I've run 175 grain Group Buy clone of 358429 past 1500 fps in a short Blackhawk using 2400 and standard primers. The charge weight was 14.5 grains. Don't know if that will be safe in anything but my Blackhawk.....standard disclaimer.

I am using 12 grs. of 2400 with that boolit in hollow point form in a 4 5/8 inch stainless blackhawk. Not any where near max but very accurate in my gun............Terry

I would definatly start at 12, 12.5. I got cratered primers at 14.0 with 160gr RNFP in a Rossi 92 rifle..13.5 is about max. for this gun..two books I was using (Lee 2nd, and Lyman cast bullet) say 15.3. Lyman 48 is 14.9. Lazercast book is 15.3, (but I wasn't shooting their bullet) just to let you know.

Hi, I am using the MiHec C358-180-RF/GC with Cramer HP Pins the dimensions of this bullet are similar to the Noe180gr WFN/GC, the boolit I use weighs 179.5gr with the medium HP. I started with 13grs of h110,with small pistol mag primers in starline Brass, working my way up to 16.5 grains of h110 again with small pistol mag primers, I got the best accuracy with 16.5 gr. 5/8" group at 25 yards all six shots out of a GP100 6" stainless. The seating depth to the crimp groove is identical according to prints, so it should be similar.

12.5 grains of 2400 before I stopped. I've used this load with both NOE and Lee group buy molds with identical results.

For me accuracy seems to go south a little as I go over 12.5 grs. with a plain based version of the noe boolit.

While I & my GPs like H-110/296 powder I don`t use it much in hunting rounds as it flash is BIGGER, but I stopped at 14.5 grs. for the same reasons as above .

But as we well know each firearm is it`s own entity !! So work up carefully & methodically to acheive the best loads .
