You guys are a bad influence. I try to spell "bullets" properly. But tonight when I was copying load data from a Taffin Tests, after the jacked data I wrote "boolits" for the lead data. For better or worse I'm becoming one of you guys.

it does simplify things when you use the different spellings.
it leaves no doubt which one is being discussed.

Just make sure you don't spell it that way if you post at any of the forums Taffin hangs out at. Those guys do not have a sense of humor about boolits.

Another reason why I only have one forum link on my favorites list.

All 3 of my sons pronounce it boo instead of bull, just for me :)

Well, I'm not there yet. I still pronounce both spellings the same way.

My boys, from a very young age, pronounced bullits boooolits. Sounds cool with their SE Texas accent!

Your not completely addicted YET. When you own boolit molds totaling three digits and up THEN your addicted.

I am/was a fan of Mr. Taffin...and have TWO autographed copies of all five books. For some reason, he is not very tolerant of this site...which is HIS loss.

I like to think that Elmer Keith would have been one of our members with an extremely high post count. Uncle Elmer wrote a lot of letters answering questions for his devoted following...on a manual typewriter!... and would have seen the internet as a way to "spread the word."

"We're all friends here boys."

I don't know him personally, but my impression is that Mr. Taffin has an underdeveloped sense of humor, and an overdeveloped sense of elitism. People have been booted from the sixguns forum for using our distinctive term.

I catch myself,on a BP forum, all the time going for Boolits instead of round balls.

Really you need 100 plus moulds to be in complete ruination? Sheesh, I thought I was there when I had a mould for every gun and don't have a slug mould yet.
