The weatherman said 100% chance of rain today so I decided it was cool enough to test out my shop away from my shop and do a little casting.
I decided to cast for the 380 today. With what I already have stashed back for the 380 plus the session today, I should be good until next year.
The mould is one of Mihec's works of art, the MP 358-93.

Getting set up. This is my so called shop away from home. It has zippered walls that I can close during cold weather.

Well, the pot is ready. All I have to do now is put a layer of Pat's famous flux on top and get started.

1,500+ rounds later and my back is starting to give me a problem so, enough is enough.

I took a break then set up the Star. I finished most of the Boolits before I decided to call it a day.

All in all, it turned out to be a productive day even if it did rain all day long.

I like your casting gazebo, not a bad idea. Looks like you made the best of the weather. Been pretty rainy up here the last couple of days, too.

I know what you mean about your back. That is my biggest limiting factor to my casting. I have built an indoor casting area with a lab-type fume hood to extract the fumes so I can work for an hour or two and not be all crippled up from my efforts. Cast 400-800 boolits with 4-6 cavity molds and call it a day. Just keep chipping away at the need for more boolits.

I have been buessy to me and the son went threw just about a whole 30 cal ammo box of 44's so I had to cast some more 240gr RNFP while I was at it I cast some 250gr RF with gas checks 30/30's that was yesterday and the day before today I cast a bunch of 230gr RN for the 45 I think one more day and I will be good for a while D Crockett

Great looking boolits, and that's a great little gun you have there. I shot one that belongs to a buddy, I was impressed.
