Guys,

I just received my new mold (Lee C285-130-1R), And I am seeking some load data. I found very limited data in the Lyman reloading manual, and tried a forum search. There does not seem to be much out there. I have plenty of experience loading for the 7x30, but not with cast. If anyone has any cast data to share it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...Shooter

the 7-30 waters has about .30 less case capacity than the 7-08 does.
if nothing else back down 08 data by 1/3 and come from there.

I don't understand.
7-30 waters with a 130 grain boolit runs at about 2400FPS with jacketed loads. That is cast boolit territory all day long, so why do you need "cast boolit data"?
I can see having separate data for a 300 winmag, or other such sledgehammers, but anything that operates under 2600FPS is interchangeable. Whats the problem?

Also, Hodgdons website has a boat load of free data for all types of cartridges, and 7-30 waters is on that list.
Check 'er out:

Thanks to all. And Tim, there is not a problem...I'm just looking for proven cast boolit data for this cartridge.

BCB,

Thank you very much! This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. (He send a spreadsheet with over 15 different powders and dozens & dozens of cast boolit loads.)
