I saw this in the local paper this morning. A few things do not add up. First off look how far behind the hog the kid is. A good reference is the tree between the hog and the kid. This hog was shot with a "50 cal. revolver", in my mind that means 500 S&W. Dose that look like an X frame he is holding? X frame are huge pistols. Is this a big hog, yes! Is it 1050 lbs big, you be the judge!

Seems the story has changed alittle since if first hit the web. Originally, he stated he had to shoot the animal 16 times with 350gr bullets from the 500S&W.

The handgun is a X-frame custom shop 500 s&w. But to have to shoot the hog 16 times, there is no excuse for this. One well placed shot would have put the animal down on the spot. Just goes to show, even if you have the biggest, baddest magnum on the planet, you still have to place your shot for it to be effective.
