don't grow any bigger than they do?

Having a little fun today with macro lenses and a very patient praying mantis.

FYI When they mate the female desperately needs protein so she devours her mate in the act of mating.

If we turn on one of our outside lights all the bugs show up and so do the praying-mantis, not all that uncommon to have about 4 of them gourging themselves on whatever lands on them. They don't even need to try and catch there meals, they seem to land right on them. The largest we've seen them is about 3" long but they sure do get fat.

Thanks, nice setup, haven't tried a macro converter myself, F/11, must have been good light, your results look great.

I have a 50mm macro & still budgeting to get myself an 100+mm. :cbpour:

How'd she go blind?

If she looked like that thing, she went blind by looking at herself in the mirror one too many times! :kidding:
