I figured it out! [smilie=w:

If you cut 'em close to that little steel thingy and squash the sides with a pair of pliers, they fit perfect!

I bet it shoots with no lube without leading the barrel.

Actually, I haven't shot one yet. I'm still trying to find data for a 650 gr. wheel weight with Bullseye. Ya' think I could plug up the little gaps on both sides with some silicone or somethin'? I figure that would work for the lube, too.

Looks like it would work. Prolly oughta tighten that crimp, though.

I'll be shootin' it in a Buffalo Classic, don't need no crimp!

The noise that boolit will make flying through the air will scare the target into submission or to death.

Dang, I want to try that, but all my WW metal is in ingots. Anybody got a wheel weight mould I can borrow?

i'd just wrap some tape round the bottom of it.
whatever you got should be fine.
but since it's a old timey gun i'd look for some of the old cloth electrical type tape so everything looks authentic.
now if you need some extreme stuff done like 200 rounds in an hour at 25 yds and maybe hitting the paper i'd look for some tactical tape.

Paper patching might work, too. I suspect about 30 inches of greenbar or so should seal it up nice.

could you load zinc ww like that too

No, you can't use zinc WWs. It's way too hard and the groove diameter would have to be a perfect fit. Besides, zinc WWs would be real hard to cut with side cutters and hard to squash to get 'em in the case. Nope, ya' gotta use the real thing.

How do you compute the Ingalls value for that so you can plot the external ballistics?

Ummm, ...................

Can I get back to you on that later? Like after 'coon season?

That's a right smart looking boolit there Jim. I see it comes pre-printed with the optimum range distance as well. I just couldn't figure out if that was inches, feet or yards...Ray

Sometimes, we need a little foolishness instead of being serious all the time. I'm on a personal, self appointed campaign to back burn against an oncoming case of severe cabin fever. Laugh or I'll shootchya' in th' foot.

That would work perfectly in that new soviet block rifle I bought with the rectangle barrel. The instructions say you can even use harden steel in the barrel. I was wondering where to get bullets for it.

Hey, we're a band of brothers and supposed to look out for each other, right? So, when I make a ground shaking discovery like this, of course I'm gonna share it! :bigsmyl2:

Paper patch that baby and let it ride! It looks like you finally found a way to shoot around corners with that nanner shaped boolit!
