I didn't weigh my bullets before loading. These were shot from a Marlin XL-7 30-06. I lubed them with Liquid Alox via the "Ranch Dog" method. I was pleased with my first results. Look forward to tweaking it and tightening the group up.

not gonna happen.
see that's the suck you in group.
you'll get one like that and even better, but it will be only on the day's when there's nobody at the range, you forget your camera,or the battery's are dead.
the rest of the time it will be a 2" flyer from nowhere in a 3/4" group, groups on the vertical, or the wind gust will string one or two of them horizontally.
but it's too late, you have seen cast boolits shoot good.....

If I can hit tin cans at 100 yards off hand I'm happy. Not there yet but having fun. Frank

I'm happy enough with mine that it is my ONLY .30-caliber bullet mould.

I am going to use all the same brass next time, try a couple of different charges both directions, tighten up my bullet weight selection and move out to 100 yards. I take lots of targets. Tape the holes in ones I don't like so I can shoot them again and bring home the good ones for show-and-tell. I really like an orange dot on brown kraft paper; it's cheap and the holes are really easy to see on a bright day. One thing that confuses me is how someone can shoot at one target for an hour or more and not know or care where they hit. Someone asked why I didn't hit the bullseye and I told him it was the group that mattered; hitting the bullseye was just a matter of dialing in the scope. Yep, I hooked.

Keep at it Boyscout.
I love that mold, I have a 2 banger, but only cast from one cavity.
I weigh the boolits , neck size my cases, weigh the powder charge. And shot this 4 shot group with my 1917 eddystone rifle with open sights at 100 yrds.

I had brought 5 loaded with this charge, and the first one hit dead on @ 50yrds, so I fired the other 4 @ 100yrds
They alll drop at 174.2 -174.4 (thats why I only use one cavity)
Notice cheap paper plate over blue B27

Thanks for the inspiration and a goal. What spread do you allow for weight. I set mine at +-0.5 gn. I'm not doing so well with the iron sights on my 03A3. It is a ladder sight and not an aperature sight. Same goes for my Mosin Nagant. I have been weighing each charge of powder also. I have not tried anything but Accu 5744.

I too like the mold. Don't have a picture handy, but I do load it for the 30-06. I use h4895 and a little filler. I can honestly do 1"-1/12" groups at 100 yards all day. I do have a scope on the rifle though. It helps. But they shoot great. I don't weight them right now, but am going to do some testing with them weighed later. Good boolit.

Oh, almost forgot, if you like that boolit, give the soup can a try. It shoots almost the same poi with a really like load of unique or herco. Feels about like a 22 mag. Same good groups with it though.

how much h4895 , i use H4895 in my 30-30 loads with that bullet and good results at 50 , but sight issues at 100 i think i need a scope to compensate for eye issues most of the rest of my guns have gotten them it is just a matter of time before i find one for the 30-30

I am right at 30 grains. I settled on that from a lot of people's input and because one of the Lee dippers throws 30.2 grains. I do use a scale though, just to try and get all the loads the same. I am planning on using it in the 30-30 also, powder that is. I use the boolit, but I am just using herco right now. I need a hunting load for it.

Win. Brass ,neck size to .310" inside dimension , boolits sized to .311", 18gr of new 2400,
3.04" C.O.A.L , Fed LRP. No filler.
I keep them +- .5 gr.

I chose the 1917 over the other mil-surps because of the stock and sights.
