Tried some PB RD311-165 in M 336 30-30 2 weeks ago. If my notes are correct, 17 gr 2400, dacron filler, 50/50 Pb/#2 AC, recluse lube. Shooting @ 50, got 2 groups, 1(5) @ POA, 1(7) - 8" right 1" down, same POA. Shooting off bags. Groups weren't great, but distinct. These strings inserted between full power GC'd loads that did what I expected. I've used unique for the PB before, not great accuracy definitely not like this! Surely I couldn't pull this many shots. I shoulder the butt and rest the fore-end on the bag.

Try dropping down to 15.5 to 16 gr with the filler. My rifle likes to be around 1750 fps and 17 gr no fill or 16 with fill gets me there.

First time trying 2400 probably got it too hot. I'm also thinking I forget I'd GCd some, thus the 2groups. Got to write this stuff down. You get good groups PB'd?

Never shot them PB. I shot a fair number with 17 gr 2400 with no filler, had a bit of vertical at 100. haven't shot many with filler to see if it went away.

I think I'll work down toward 12 gr PB. Think I did the GC for a comparison, but they had oil lube, not recluse/wax. Funny, the better group was way off POA, but no idea which is which. Primed ~200 cases last nite so I'll load em and try again, writing everything down for sure. I use blue tape and a sharpie to mark the ammo boxes, guess I didn't get it right this time.
