Seating Lee TL boolits---

I just cast and tumble lubed(45/45/10) some 38/158 and some 44/240 Lee TL bullets. How you crimp these, in the top small lube grove or over the front driving band?

I like to consult my Loading Manual for C.O.L. (case overall length) for the cartridge I am loading and crimp according to the C.O.L Lee Manual is really good for cast lead reload data.

I crimp in the 1st or 2nd lube groove depending on the TL bullet and revolver. I like the front driving bands to center up the bullet in the revolver throats.

the way alox grips a case i don't crimp them even in a levergun.
i just iron them flat.
figured this out when i couldn't hammer/pull a couple of 240 swc'z from some 44 special cases.
