Have a couple of boolits I want to try out. Have no idea what mold was used as they were obtained on a trade.

one of them is 275gr gc and the other 245gr... The one in the middle is 158gr gc for my 357. If anyone can chime in with what mold was used would be great.

Want to go 19.5gr 2400 on the 275 and 9gr Unique on the 245 and finally about 12.5gr of accurate#9 on the 357. Would be shooting of out a 629-1 and m28-2 and a Blackhawk 357. Anyone had luck with these charges ?

The one on the right looks to be a classic Keith style boolit, maybe a Lyman mold thats been modifed to hollow point.
Can't help you with 2400, never had any good results with it in my guns. I prefer H110 for both .44 mag and heavy .357mag.

the one on the right looks more like an rcbs with the shape of the nose.
like a 44-250-kt.
i use 19.3 with my 240-250 44's and th 8.5-9.0 gr unique with the heavier stuff.

[I][Want to go 19.5gr 2400 on the 275 and 9gr Unique on the 245 /I]

Based on the 32,000 psi+ (measured in Contender barrel with Oehler m43) that 19.5 gr of 2400 generates under my 270 gr 429244 and 270 gr Devestator HP I'd consider that a max load. As mentioned H110/296 will serve better under that bullet. The 9 gr Unique under the 245 gr bullet should be an excellent load. Haven't tested #9 in the .357 so no comment there.

I load 9.5 of Unique and a 240 Keith for a hunting load on deer size critters, works well. I bumped up from 9.0 to seal the cases a bit better and wound up with a cleaner load. I shoot many 240 SWC boolits under that load as well. I have to a agree with Larry, that 2400 load seems awfully stiff, i don't load that heavy of a charge in my 240's, much less a 270.

The Keith almost looks to have a Penta style HP?

9 grns of Unique under the Lyman 429244 or the 429421 is a favorite 44 Mag load for me. Excellent accuracy and they don't beat you to death.

Perhaps I should tone down that 2400 to about 17gr... I'll play with a few loads with 2400 first thing am....

For the 245 gr Keith my go to load is 8.5 gr of Unique. For max loads I prefer H110.

Second the full power loads with H110. Works very well.

The one on the right is neither a current RCBS or Lyman. Both have shorter base bands and wider GG's. I have both.
Unique is a great powder with it and I just use 7 gr for tin can accuracy to 50 yards but you can go more for hunting.
The one in the center does look like the Lee 155 gr.
The left one, I don't know????

Unless someone else is doing pentagonal HP's the SWC is a Mihec mold.

I thought It looked like the 503.

19g of 2400 behind the solid version is my everyday load for my 6" 629. 1265-1300 fps depending on batch. I shot 100+ of them today

Can someone suggest an aol for that 275gr ? If I crimp on the second groove I am getting an aol of 1.660 ( see pic ) the one below that I'm getting 1.736... My lyman 48 has data on 250 grain at aol at 1.680.

I prefer 10 gr Unique under any 240-250 boolit in .44 Mag as a nice moderate load, it will
run about 1050 or so. 9 gr will lower that, maybe 900-950 fps.

19.5 of 2400 is kinda crowding in on a max load with 275. don't use #9, so
no help there.
