Weatherman said it would get up to 116 today. Obviously in a given area, temperatures vary a little by location, and all thermometers aren't Phi beta Capa... My thermometer on the back porch has been telling me it's 115 for the last week or so. Today it's reading 120. Most definitely hot enough. I'll think about going shooting in October...
It’s been around 100° here for several days. Any shooting has to be done early in the morning. I’ve been holed up in the cool basement catching up on my reloading.
I was about to start a thread complaining about the heat, but after reading about the 120° temp. in your area I changed my mind......

It's so hot, I just saw two trees, fighting over a dog...

And the thread deteriorates into senseless babble....

It was pretty hot here for the last couple days, according to the kids. About 104-105 F.
This kind of heat didn't used to bother me--it does now. If it gets much over 100, I'm not much fun to be around--hence my departure with Marie to the Sierras for trout fishing Tuesday-Friday now that the kids' recent health problems seem to be resolved.

..............I don't enjoy the heat, but there isn't much you can do about it. What just kills me is humidity. Luckily here in So. Calif we don' thave to put up with much of that. Tuesday - Wednesday I was out on the north side of the house digging ditches to lay pipe for drains, and sweating like a horse. Problem was the humidity was up to about 80% and my wipe rag just wasn't drying out.

I used to prefer cold until the doc put me on a blood thinning medication. Yesterday it was 104 high and 71 low. My wife had the air conditioner going full blast and I put on a sweater at sundown. Summer visitors to our house will have no trouble finding it-the place with the windows iced up and Nanook of the North answering the doorbell in fulll arctic rig!
