Got lucky last week, won an Apple iPad2 from my credit union! Really like it, using it to send this. Tim:bigsmyl2:

There is an app for this forum. It is called TapaTalk. It works well.

I use my wife's iPad pretty regularly. It is nice but can be a pain when typing. For instance, if I want to insert text into an existing sentence, it is a pain to select exactly where I want to. It is when a mouse comes in handy. We don't really have any apps installed so far other than Pandora and some map programs.
Other than that one small gripe, the iPad is pretty handy. But, I still use my laptop for 90% of my computing needs.

90% of the time I access this forum with an iPad using Safari. Very handy tool to have!

I just purchased my wife an IPAD2. It was time for a computer upgrade for her. Her monitor, keyboard and mouse were good so I was going to purchase a new tower. When I mentioned it she said she "might" like to try an IPAD. I bought her one last week and she is enjoying it. I have loaded a few apps for her and will load tapatalk for me as soon as I can get it out of her hands again. I am finding it to be a pretty cool little gadget!

Bought an iPad 3 with part of this year's bonus. I have enjoyed it and find I am becoming more and more attached to the darned thing.

Several co-workers have iPad 2's, and they are amazed at the clarity of the new Retina display, as am I. I started out with a Macintosh computer in 1985 but went over to Windoze because it's the platform used for most of my day job. Now I'm thinking about that new MacBook Pro.

We're really spoiled with the amazing technology that's available today.

Yeah, the other day settin' in the living room I asked my wife to hand me a newspaper. She informed me that no one has newspapers any more, here use my IPad. That roach never knew what hit him. GW

gkainz - is that a T38? Just got the wife an Ipad for her birthday/anniversary. She was going to get a #2 with her bonus but I upgraded to a 4G, told her to keep her bonus for something around the house. Now she has to figure out how to use it. She does volunteer to let me use it, just so I can show her how. It's a PITA to be IT for the family and friends.
