A guy I work with wanted me to work up a load for his 444. Has anybody tried to load using the rcbs 44-245-kt. I also have a lyman 205gr mold but figure it is a lil light. I would like to go heavy and slow. Thanks in advance guys.

There are some loads in the Lyman book, but for 240 gr. boolit. I would try some of the starting loads for the 240gr but with the RCBS 245 gr. boolit and work up slowly like a 1/2 gr. at a time. If you would feel more comfortable just drop back a grain or a grain and half from the starting load. I substitute 245 gr boolits for 240 gr. boolits in my 44 mag quite often using the same load, I never shoot magnum loads though.

Use 240gr-250gr LSWC data & work it up. I shoot that bullet quite a bit over 8-9gr of Unique.
