Managed to get to the range today. Shot my first 30, 45 ACP test rounds, what a BLAST!! No pun intended. The Ammo worked flawlessly. I'm gonna keep load where its at for now. Its as good as it needs to be for IDPA shoots! I am gonna change the Alox lube to the 45-45-10 before I load anymore rounds. Rounds were pretty accurate a little more smoke than I expected? is that a traite of Winchester 231 powder?

I also sighted my AR15 that I built in. That was a really fun project and to shoot that and have no mechanical issues!! It was a GREAT day at the range today!! Cant wait to go back! I just need to bring bug spray next time! LOL!! Think I lost about a quart of blood to the skeeters!! Little BA%#$@&S!!

Probably not as smokey as the commercial cast I first shot. I actually had rifle shooters down on the other end of the range come by and ask if I was shooting BP...

Gliden, what were your loads?

I too was using Alox in the first round, but I attribute it to the unique an lower pressure charges.
