Just wondering how it should look for best results. I did some last month and really covered them to where they look brown. I did some last week and you can't hardly see it but it is there.

pics aren't the greatest, but here are a few.

keep in mind, im not sure i covered these things right either. I put the bottle in a cup of hot water for a couple minutes, squeezed some into a small half pint water bottle with the bullets and rattled them around till everything was covered and there were no clumps of alox left.

ps i'll bite, how come i can't get my attachments to show up.

I may just re-alox my second attemp. Just to make sure.

I cut mine by at least 1/3 with mineral spirits. Doesn't show much except at top band if anything. No leading, leass mess, less smoke. try the light ones as they are and see if it is enough for your bullet / gun combo.

I'm working now with a combo of jpw and LLA- so far, excellent results. JPW:LLA is maybe 4-1 or more. LLA color barely noticable. Sets faster and is less sticky when done, so far results have been encouraging.

Everybody wonders that question; How much LLX? So i just coat a 100% and test, it works. I don't beleive you'll ever find the magical amount to use. Keep us posted on the JPW/LLX mix. I still need to test that also. You could save fellow casters a lot of time. Thanks

I'll give it a try. If you can tell from these pics it's a very light coat of LLA. It should look like a varnish on the boolits. The only place it looks brown is in the lube grooves. I like the idea of mixing LLA/JPW. I'm cooking up a batch right now, I'll post the results.

Trickyasafox,

you can either use a link like you have or you can attach the images. If you attach the images (little paper clip icon when you reply to a thread) they will show up like USAR04 post.
