I hope one day to be able to help fellow members the way I was helped when I knew nothing!! Now I know next to nothing!! :bigsmyl2:

Any comments or addtional wisdom of these pics is apperciated!!

Looks good from the pics. Maybe a bit much on the taper crimp of your finished round but taking the barrel out of your auto and dropping them in as a test for chambering will help you figure out how much to crimp. Most of the time just enough to take the bell out of the case works well. Shooting will tell the story and I bet your are chomping at the bit to do so.

Wow, my scruffy little mind doesn't do anything that neatly! Looks like you are off to a good start. Yep, if that crimp isn't too tight, your brass is a bit big. You can get a touch of pressure from overdo-ing the crimp.

Good Luck,
Ron

The case mouth should measure .473" after crimping according to SAAMI. On powder puff loads I crimp to .469" to get the powder going better before the boolit starts moving and it still headspaces properly.

Ok, I read the comments and adjusted the crimp/bullet seating die for less taper crimp.

Spec is as follows:

Crimp Dia - .472
OAL- 1.259
Boolit - Lee 230 Grain RN sized to .452 w/Alox lube
Powder - Winchester 231 4.7 grains
Primer - CCI 300
