Found these loads for the 35 Whelen in Accurate Smokeless Powders, Number Two.

AA5744 32.4 gr. 1912 fps 250 gr. cast with gas check

AA5744 30.6 gr. 1773 fps 280 gr. cast with gas check

How would these work in the 9.3x57? Should they be reduced a little?

I'd consider those about maximum for the 9.3x57. Drop back about 5 gr. to start. The 9.3x57 is not rated at very high pressure, much less than a 35 Whelen.

your case volume is less so you'll need less powder.
a bit more than 10% less capacity airc.
i'd cut back about 15% for the max.
or go halfway between a 200 gr 8 mauser boolit and the whelen data.
once you pick a safe start then you can get on with working up the load.
