Made what I think was a good deal today on some casting stuff. It was a close out on all casting stuff from a store in Fairbanks.
77,000 gas checks
31 molds lyman
27 sizer dies lyman
60 top punches lyman rcbs
2 casting thermometers lyman
2 mold handles small lyman
3 ingot molds 4 cav lyman with wood handles
1 mag 20 dipper melter
2 rcbs lubamatic II lube sizers
All items are NIB. Scored the lot for $1,000 I figured the gas checks were worth that.
Will be putting some of this on S&S to sell or trade soon.
Of cource the out of print molds will stay here but some are duplicate and will be offered.

Wow. They say Alaskans have the highest rate of depression per population in the country. No wonder, if they make deals like this.

Better check the obits in the paper and see if that guy offed himself last night.

Wow! That beats my buy at an auction a few years ago. 10,000 shot gun plastic wads, lots of paper type wads, and 150# shot for $32. Congrats, Dale

Good deal both ways. You'll double your money even allowing for expenses and unsalable items. Seller got out from under without getting hurt too bad. If that's accumulated old stock as I suspect, it's stuff that has gone sharply up in value over the last few years. GCs alone have nearly tripled.

Quite the deal! You should have no problem selling what you don't want for more than you paid for the whole lot. Good for you!
