some people just don't get it. That really is one hell of a scope mount

Hmmmm...20 inch wheels on a mini-van?

The idea and execution boggle the mind:

They must have a very long face to get cheek weld and look down that scope - eyes on stalks?

The 464 is a 1894 clone and top ejects - so that much be a side mount. So the scope is 7.5cm high (three inches for our USA cousins) and at least 2.5cm off bore axis.

and then to ask $AUD675???

Used to see a lot of similar rigs years back with the "see through" scope mounts. The mount itself was high and then the owner would use high rings on it besides. They could never hit krap and always wondered why.

I thought I saw an ad for that mount. It swings over to the left for drive by's and da brass stay in da car. Gtek

Apparently the 'cheek weld' has now been replaced with the 'chin weld'. They put a little chin thingie on a fiddle. Maybe they should mount one on this stock. Like my grandfather said -- "oof da!"

Nobody uses those shoulder things that go up now anyway:

This is in Tripoli, Lebanon. Originals there:

The Mossy 464 is an angle eject, and is factory D/T'd on top for scope mounts.

this is a much better completed iteration of the same idea:
