I always respond with a "Yes, , Sir" and call everyone around me "Men". That is how I was addressed in boot camp so it is a habit picked up there. Most women don't mind after I explain why. The pets are even addressed as "The Men" regardless of gender.

I have told my wife repeatedly "If you want ____." Say I want ____. After 26 years I only have to remind her of this once. She is learning. They can be broken of their bad habits. Espically the "I want this." when they mean "I want That!"

Lots of wisdom in those words, I have 2 ex-wives 1 current wife and 5 daughters, trust me, you do not want to understand them, it is scary. My oldest daughter tells me everything, women are more dangerous and scary than we men can ever imagine.
