star crimping tool for shells? without a press

i know they have roll crimper tools that can be used with drills but is there a tool to do star or fold crimps without a press.

is there such thing?

But not very well with plastic cases, in my experience.

It would be so much easier to buy the cheapest MEC that you can find used than to try to find a Lee Loader, since they don't make them any more.

I started reloading with a .410 and a 20 guage Lee Loader.

If hull has been fired, start the crimp with thumbnails,(easily done) then using most any proper size dowel or rod, push or tap it down with a hammer and the crimp will seal.
