What Cal. is My Barrel

I have a Mauser barrel and dont know cal. it is, I made a cerro casting and here is what I have, Groove .312, Neck case lenght is .285, from the face of the barrel to end of the case is 2 in. long Pluss what ever sticks out of the chamber? Anyone know what I have, It will almost fit tight on a Brno VZ.24 Action, Thanks for the help- Smokemjoe

Without the ncessary dimensions it would be a wild guess.
My first guess would be 7,65x53(54).

Bore is .312 - .313 "

That is most likely what you have.

I put in it a a 7.62 X 54 Russian but no fit, Thanks

7.62 x 54 russian is an entirely different beast than the 7.65 mauser. If you can you need to give neck length, diameter at case mouth, at case neck, at shoulder and length from base to shoulder. That will give a pretty good idea what others can look at in the various books giving cartrige dimensions.

I looked in my box of cartridges and found a 7.65 Argentine shell and thats what it is. Barrel has sights and a exc. barrel, would be a great cast bullet shooter, Anyone want it, I would trade for a M1 Garand barrel, Thanks- Smokemjoe

What length is the barrel?
